Getting from Ghent Sint-Pieters Station to the Old Abbey

Getting to Ghent Sint-Pieters Station
By plane to Brussels Airport and then by train to Ghent: The closest airport to Ghent is Brussels National Airport (BRU), also known as Zaventem, 67 kilometers from Ghent. There are several direct flights per day from major European and North-American cities. The train station is located underneath the airport and accessible via lifts and escalators in the arrivals hall. The departure station is called Brussel Nationaal Luchthaven / Brussels National Airport. The destination station is Gent Sint-Pieters. Tickets can be bought at the train station for about 15 euros per person, one-way.
On Sundays, there is only 1 direct train per hour to Ghent at xx:24, which takes 55 minutes. The final destination of this IC train usually is Oostende, Knokke, or De Panne.
